Message from our Superintendent

Dear Thew Parents and Guardians,

This letter is to inform you that I have asked interim Thew principal and Director of Student Support, Marissa Schneckloth, to serve as the next principal of Thew School and she has graciously accepted.

Mrs. Schneckloth brings 13 years of experience with her as she joins the Thew Bulldogs. She has served as a preschool teacher at Getz, resource teacher in K-5th grade, ELL teacher, resource and self-contained special education teacher in 6-8th grade, summer school coordinator, Connolly Middle School 6th grade administrator, and most recently as the Coordinator and now Director of the Student Support department.

Through Mrs. Schneckloth’s hard work, student achievement is improving, student and family needs are being met in a timely manner, teachers feel more supported in teaching the AZ College and Career Ready Standards, and student behavior is improving daily. Her experience and track record in areas of student support, discipline, increased student achievement, and school improvement has earned her the respect of her colleagues and school communities. Mrs. Schneckloth is a committed and caring leader who places student well-being and success at the center of every decision she makes.

Thank you for your continued support of Thew School students, staff and Mrs. Schneckloth.
