Principal's Message

Welcome to our website at Flora Thew Elementary School, home of the Bulldogs!

We provide students with a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that nurtures creativity, leadership, and achievement through diverse methods of teaching focusing on equity and excellence. 

Thew is an award-winning PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Supports) school that focuses on character education using the secondSTEP curriculum. Every person who enters our Thew campus is expected to follow our Bulldog Expectations: Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Ready.

Families are encouraged to be an active and supportive part of our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) which offers many opportunities to become involved in activities that support children, teachers, and our Thew community. A few of the opportunities our PTA provides are educational enrichment experiences, funding for school and teacher needs, and opportunities to build connections within our school and community.

Our Thew staff members welcome you to our school and look forward to making each day with your child’s educational experience count. It is a privilege to be the principal of Thew Elementary, where I work alongside a caring and innovative staff and community. Go Bulldogs!
